When it comes to assessing low-carb vs keto for overall health, both eating plans can be sensible. However, in terms of weight loss, or more specifically fat-loss, keto is more of a guarantee than low-carb. Keto is almost the same as what is called strict LCHF. There one has to stick to between 30 and 50 grams of carbohydrates every day to achieve ketosis condition and even if you’re eating 100 net grams of carbs per day, that amount might actually shift you out of ketosis.

It must be said that it is very different from person to person. Woman, man, height, weight, exercise, body calorie burning and much more. But with some basic rules, you can quickly get started on achieving ketosis and from there feel on your body whether the carbohydrates can be turned up or down.

We are a family with children and they must also be able to participate. We do not live in ketosis all the time, but instead have 2 to 3 times a year, where we live completely pure keto for about 3 weeks at a time otherwise it is Low-Carb the rest of the time, but if we are out with friends or acquaintances eat we what is served. The easy thing about the LCHF diet is that it is rare that there is nothing you can not eat at all.
